Shop Maintenance
Location: Los Angeles County

We are seeking a highly customer service oriented, maintenance person to service our shops in Northern Los Angeles County and Kern County. Ideally, the candidate will be based in the San Gabriel Valley. This is a full-time position with benefits. The candidate hired will need to pass a written test and pass the DMV check. A company vehicle will be provided. This position will require extensive driving between shop locations.

The rate of pay is $18.00 per hour with benefits.

The purpose of this position is to maintain the shops in accordance with See’s standards for quality of appearance and safety.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs various repairs and enhancements in assigned shops including electrical, flooring, plumbing, wood working, Formica repair and general maintenance.
• Provides shop inspections for assigned shops, fill out monthly inspection report and note items that need repair or provide cosmetic attention.
• Provides emergency assistance for shop repairs.
• Provides on call after hour repairs for shops.
• Repairs safety hazards at shops.
• Works flexible shifts (evenings and weekends) due to after hour repairs or remodels.
• Coordinates bids for minor work to be performed in their shops.
• Responsible for organizing/stocking and maintaining their company vehicles.
• Communicates with shop staff and district managers to ensure Shop maintenance items are in satisfactory condition.
• Works with Maintenance Supervisor to organize and maintain inventories in warehouse.
• Sets up and takes down temporary Quantity Discount, retail shops, and temporary storage.
• Refurbishes used fixtures.
• Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Some travel and overnight stays might be expected.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three years experience in retail maintenance and/or related fields.
• Demonstrates (through a written test) hands-on knowledge and experience in Facilities Maintenance: electrical, plumbing, flooring and general maintenance.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to provide acceptable DMV printout.
• HVAC certification preferred
